Sample from 33 cl bottle while brewing. Dark amber colour with a thin off-white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, nuts, bread, earthy notes and grasses. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes drying and fruity with caramel malts and toasted notes. Fine Dunkel.

Gusher, far too fast to be caught, leaving me, chair, floor, table, and laptop covered in sweet sticky beer. By the time cleaning is finished, head is thin beige. Hazy opaque dark brown body. Fruity roasty bubblegum aroma with licorice notes. Sweet roasty licorice taste with earthy soy sauce notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, flat, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish earthy bubblegum aftertaste with licorice and spice notes. It’s ok, but loses points for the gushing. (0.33l bottle, from Fish & Beer, Copenhagen. Shortly after this my laptop died, requiring screen to be replaced. Most expensive beer ever.)

Bottle, 5.3%. Citric and farty aroma. Black colour, seems clear. Small tan head. The flavour is malty with a hint of sweet liquorice. It has a little paper in the finish and is a little too dry for my tastes. But the dark malts taste OK.

Bottle. Pours hazy coffee brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of yeast, with notes of hops and malt. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, with roasty and estery notes. Rough and slightly bitter aftertaste. An okay Dunkel but nothing really special as such.

Bottle. It pours a glowing, reddish dark amber to brown body under a dense, finger-thick light beige head. The aroma has a roasted touch in the back, with caramel, dried fruits, some yeast and chocolate notes. It’s medium bodied and dry on the palate, with a decent carbonation level. Caramel, dried fruits, some coffee and yeast in the flavor, a decent bitterness in the far back. Medium length finish. Sure drinkable, but boring and uninteresting and far from moreish. 141024

Bottle, 66cl. It’s an unclear, orange-golden beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma is quite fruity, tropical fruits in syrup I think, and with some caramel hints. Fruityness, caramel and some nuts in the flavor, not much bitterness going on. Full body, soft carbonation. The finish is a tad sweet and else quite fruity. Well, it’s drinkable, but way too boring. 121110
