Cask handpull at The Craft Islington. Diacetyl. If you are going to brew a light golden ale what you can’t afford is diacetyl. On the aroma its butter. Decent bitter hop on the finish. It’s ok if you get rid of the butter

Cock Tavern. Cask. Very hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is semi dry with reasonable fine carbonation. Light dry malt base, not that sweet. Lime and lemon peel, lemony tang. Just a touch of floralness but it brings enough sweetness to keep the lemon - lime in check. Juicy fruit beer that finishes dry.

Cask at Ye Olde Tavern o’ Cock - Hackney, London. Pours light, hazy gold with a creamy white head. The nose holds dried citrus, lemon, simple dry pale malts. Light sweet flavor with some bitter hay, light grass, dried out dough. Light minerality. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Dry to finish, too, fairly clean, with more bitter hay and light grains. OK.
