0.75l corked bottle #120/130 shared with The Tasting Crew. This one pours a crystal clear deep deep amber colored body under a nice medium sized lingering and lacing just off-white head. Sweet diacetyl nose with traces of sweet roasted caramel, a mild peaty smokiness and hints of some red berries in the back. It's not over-anything but still not mine kind of aroma really. Fair. Tastes also mild peaty and smoked. Not ashtray, but still a decent amount of peat. Light oily in the mouth and it's about average on the carbonation. Light cardboard, burnt caramel, some grainy hints in the back. A little warming alcohol in the aftertaste. Hard time seeing what kind of genre this is, but it's definitely drinkable. Not very good, but drinkable. 08.10.2014
