More barrel and toffee, booze than smoke. The latter gets lost in the bigness here. Dark brown pour with decent head. Sweet boozy end with some bitterness. Some prune. Beastie would like this. Tap at brewery. 838316

16 oz can from jcos, thanks bud! Poured this one into my This Week in Rauchbier glass, because that's proper glassware, 10/4/22. Pours a mostly clear dark reddish color with an off-white head. Peat smoke and wood smoke forward with oak, earth, and roast as well. Some sweet malt, caramel notes toward the finish to round out the smoke, but this is a smoke forward beer. It's a particularly cold and rainy (hasn't stopped raining for days) autumn day here in Central NJ, and this beer is made for this weather, so it is really hitting great for me right now.
