We’ve captured the unique essence of Herm and its sunshine shores in our one-of-a-kind beer. Maris Otter Pale Ale and Crystal malts combine to create a perfectly balanced light ale with a sweet maltiness. The ideal accompaniment to seafood, white fish or creamy cheeses. Made the Liberation way – without compromise or gimmicks, this is true island character.

Gift from the sister-in-law. Floral and caramel. Some malt. Medium gold. Thin bright white head. Lightest of light bitter. A tad sour. Light bodied. Thin. Low key fizzy carb, as is the astringent edge to the finish. There's do littke going on here it could be soda water. Poor but inoffensive.

Picked up in a supermarket in St. Helier. Pours a clear golden color, topped with a decent white head. Fine retention and lacing. Mild malty aroma, plenty of grassy notes with some fruity and citrusy notes. Mild sweetness, grassy body with some sharp summery spices. Moderate bitterness. Very nice.

Bottle at the Norfolk Hotel, St. Helier, Jersey. Pours a light golden colour with a small white head. Aroma of corn and grass, with floral notes. Light sweetness with medium bitterness and sourness which leaves a slightly unpleasant sharp finish. Body is light, texture thin with a slight sticky finish. Carbonation is quite high. Least favoured of the Liberation beers I have had so far.

50cl bottle from Corkscrew Jersey, St Helier. A pale amber pour with a billowing white head; grainy aroma; and a toasty grain taste. A rather indistinguished golden ale.

The taste is crisp, lightly bitter, lemon peel, soap, grainy, biscuit, honey and cereal with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Alright golden. A step up from Liberation Ale.
