Bottle. Pours crystal clear pale golden, large white head, dissipates fairly quickly, decent lacing. Aroma is grassy, lemongrass, perfume, dishwater. Flavor is very light sweet, light plus funky, light plus bitter. A bit soapy and grassy. Light body, high carbonation. This was hugely disappointing compared to others in the series.

Bottle. The beer is a pale creamy yellow color. It’s fairly cloudy. Thick white head. Good amount of lacing. Good retention. The aroma is ok. The hops seem a bit faded, but I didn’t love the phenolic, vague brett character of the base, so it’s good to have another note in there. It’s mostly just lemon peel and some orange, though. Light pale malt sweetness. Taste is dry and mildly to moderately bitter. Some hop flavor. A little peppery spice. Mild malt sweetness. Not quite as washed out as the base, but there’s still some unfortunate wateriness to it. Moderate astringency. Carbonation is high at first with a fairly fizzy feel, but it settles to a nice creaminess after a few minutes. A step up from the base but it’s still not really working for me.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma has a medium light grain notes with some bready notes. Moderate phenolic notes that are grassy and spicy. Some medium light citrus notes with moderate citra hop character. Pours a hazy, bright gold with a large, thick, frothy white head that exhibits great retention as it slowly falls into itself. Moderate lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with some grain and bread notes. Very dry finish. Some medium light fruit notes with citrus and pineapple as well as other tropical fruits. Moderate phenolics with a spicy, herbal note. Medium light bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent beer, but I’m not sure the Brett forward, phenolic blonde style is the best way to exhibit the hops. I think the hop character has faxed a bit as well. The hops even clash a bit with the phenolics.
