Draught at Sommar Harborne. Mid- to dark gold and clear with a small uneven film of white head. Grassy, sprucey notes in the aroma with dank citrus buried beneath. Only a fraction of sweetness before the bitterness takes over: it isn't overly intense, but it certainly announces its Westie credentials. Hop oils rest on the tongue for a bitter finish. Weighty body for the ABV with medium carbonation.

Keg @ North Westward Ho, Manchester. Clear golden with a glow and a small head. Mild in respect of its strength, easy hopped keg brew.
