Bottle pour shared by ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! Virtually opaque brown with no head/lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, vanilla, mild dark fruit and bourbon w/slight alcohol harshness. Taste is strong vanilla, roasted malt but also significant alcohol. Smooth, strong alcohol contribution, finish as taste. Overall, heat of bourbon is just too overpowering.

500 ml thanks to Clarkvv! Aroma is vanilla with a strong amount of oak and mild bourbon. Flavor follows with the addition of chocolate and soft spice. Booze is hidden with a nice mouthfeel. Pretty nice!

500mL bottle, 2023 (unlabeled), drunk 1/11/25.
Undetermined clarity, Dark brown. Little/no head.
Rich, French oak, with dainty cherry and light bourbon spice. Dark malts with light caramel, lots of vanilla and tons of barrel character.
In the mouth it's rich, malty, very, very oaky. Not bourbon but just straight French oak. Cherry is juicy, not too sweet. Not boozey, with tons and tons of oak. I guess this hinges on how much you like oak barrel. It says bourbon, but it's really just fresh oak.
