This is our first ever release, and remains one of our most popular. Brewed with care in the Shetland Islands on the edge of the North Atlantic, our lager is carefully cold conditioned for at least four weeks do develop its crisp, distinctive taste. It packs a flavour punch, saluting the lightly kilned lager malt, rounding off with a lingering, complementary bitterness from the Saaz hops.

Earlier Rating: 5/9/2014 Total Score: 1.7 Fra flaske på RBHD-treff ombord på Fridtjofen mai-14: beskjedent filmskum. Klar gylden. Astringent aroma, pils skal ikke lukte slik. Litt smak av karamellmalt, igjen ikke det jeg forbinder med pils. Rare greier.

Keg at The Counting House. It pours hazy pale gold with a thick white head. The aroma is white bread, biscuit, grain, cereal, ginger and lemon. The taste is soft, sweet white bread, creamy, toasted grain, stone fruits, touch of lemon and cereal and with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A simple lager. Not too bad.

Lively golden beer, white head dissipates quite quickly. Light, sour aroma. A bit of sour, fruity hop in an otherwise unremarkable lager. Not a huge fan.

Shared bottle at local tasting. Golden colour, moderate white head. Unpleasant aroma of acetone and industrial waste. Sweet flavour, a hint of fruit, no bitterness. This must be the most miserable British beer I’ve had so far.

Rerate 16.05.18 on board Baluba in Kirkwall. Clear pale golden. Small and diminishing head. Underwhelming aroma of pilsner malt, hops and old wet grass. Taste is better, with fine hops, pilsner malt, meadows and succade. Low bitterness. 05.09.18: Clear golden. Unfresh aroma of old hay, barn, nail varnish remover and furniture polish. Taste is not much better. Hints of caramel sweetness. Furniture polish throughout. Absolutely crap! [1/3/2/2/2=1,0]

330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with small to average, thick, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grassy hoppy aroma, hints of straw. Taste is minimally sweet pale malty, slightly straw, grassy and floral hoppy overtones, a touch of lemon. Versatile - tantamount to characterless.
