Bottle from the Bottle Bank. Appearance - deep amber to chestnut. Decent head. Nose - red fruits, nuts and biscuits. Taste - more of the same and it manifests itself in a marzipan cake thing. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - yep well made ESB. Complexity for the strength.

Bottle 500ml. @ home on the terrace. [ As Rebel Black Rock Bitter ].Clear medium to dark brown amber color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. 500ml bottle from Beers of Europe, poured carefully as the last one I had from these guys had a fair chunk of sediment in. This one came out a clear ruby brown, but then I discarded the last half-inch or so of beer. Firm off-white head. Aromas of biscuit and toasted nuts, light fruitiness. Taste brings more red fruit, light sweet, light spicy bitter finish. Medium body, perhaps a little thin texturally. Light bitter finish. Good.

50cl bottle from the Hogs Back Brewery Shop. A really pleasant, easy drinking bitter, with a touch of chocolate malt. Copper coloured with a tight cream head; fruity aroma; silky in th emouth with a grany body, and a sweet nutty chocolate taste; with a sweet milky chocolate finish.

500ml bottle. Pours murky River Severn brown, quite a nice taste with a smoky, creamy malt feel and a light sweetness. Gotta say these Rebel beers are starting to grow on me.

At the Famous Navy Volunteer, Bristol 21/11/2013. Deep brown with a decent, off-white head. Sweet, and fruity, with some caramel and berries, a yeasty edge and gentle finish. Good.

Hazy deep red - amber beer. Good pale cream coloured head. Palate is minerally crisp. Thin malt, a little lactose and cream and a touch of caramel. Typical Rebel tang but light here. Whispers of Coca Cola and Dr Pepper. Pretty tasty and well joined up.
