2 month old pint can A: A hard pour yielded a tall smooth long lasting white head atop a crystal clear pale yellow body. S: Grass, hay, green herbs, a little corn and powdery sweet grains. T: Bitter herbal hops and sweet honeyed grains hit at once then linger and fade together with sweet bread dough and hay left at the end. M: Moderately light with low to average carbonation and light resin. O: Elements are good individually and great together. Very good take on a classic style.

Served on draft at the brewpub, 4/6/11. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized creamy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of sweet grainy malts and a faintly hoppy finish. The taste is sweet grainy malts and a bitter grassy hop finish. Medium bodied.

Pour is clear golden with a one inch pure white head which is quite lasting. A bunch of fine carbonation bubbles float to the surface. Aroma is sweet vanilla malt, touch of clove, some lighter malts. Interesting nose, not what I would associate with a Bavarian Lager, but not off putting. The taste is actually more of a floral hoppy sweetness, along with the clean cereal grains - much cleaner and truer than the nose. Clean, and crisp - though there is a hint of buttery diacetyl in the finish which detracts more as it warms. Palate is medium to light bodies, there is a nice chewy grain texture to it. Carbonation is lower the the Alt, and I think I may have liked it a touch more active. Overall, decent beer.
