Sample courtesy of Grumbo, many thanks Graham! From South Ossetia, my Country #193. Hazed orangey amber-brown colour, white foam rim and aroma of malt, molasses, orangey hops hint. Taste is malt, grain, caramel, fudge, musky perfumed note, bready, roasty, with earthy hop bitterness. Medium bodied, light carbonation, drying tangy grainy bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

12/1/2025. Bottle courtesy of Mark, bought in Moscow, and carried via Georgia and East Berkshire to me in Suffolk. Huge thanks for this, my last ever new country rating on RateBeer, county #223 and #226 on Brewver. With the impending destruction of RateBeer I’m delighted to be able to rate one of the very few countries I thought had eluded me. Poured clear dark bronze brown with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is moderately roasted, dried fruits, brown bread, nutty, burnt brown sugar, slightly veggie. Moderate sweetness, bitterness and body. Average carbonation. A great beer to have rated, and it was fine.
