A malty dark ale with a complex and flavorful chocolate character with a gentle notes of leather and horse blanket from the wild yeast strain of Brettanomyces lambicus. Fermented with our own mix of ale yeast and brettanomyces yeast to generate a intense but smooth Porter with flavorful chocolate character combined with background of funky fruity esters.

Thanks to djoeye for sharing a 330ml bottle, #022. Coal black body with a rustic glint. Bubbly tan-coloured head. Fragile lacing. Smell of sweet chocolate malts. Roasted dark malty flavours with scents of cocoa, ash, and chocolate. Mostly hidden brett. Smooth in the mouth. Warming and pleasant (Tromsø 11.10.2015).

Sample at SBWF 2015. Almost black with a tan head. Aroma of licorice, hay and some leather. Similar taste. The body was on the thin side. Drinkable.

Bottle. A dark brown beer, unclear and with a small, off-white head. Cocoa, burnt and roasted malts, some licorice and prunes in the flavor. Bonfire notes, resins, licorice, coffee grit and burnt malts in the flavor. Full to medium body, dry and with a nice carbonation level. Long roasted and burnt finish. Not much impact from the brett, but it’s a decent beer. A tad boring though. 150814

33cl bottle, bryg nummer 022. Poured black in color with a thin brown head. Chocolate cakey aroma, dusty cellar notes, roasted malt. Flavor has cellar notes, roasted malt, mild vanilla notes. Thin bodied. Decent, but bretta hard to find here, mostly cellar notes.

Shared bottle at home. Pours dark brown with beige head. Aroma of coffee, cocoa, nuts, roasted malt. Tastes coffee-bitter. Lots of aroma - too much for brett to be noticeable. Highly carbonated.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours black with a tint of red and a creamy, light brown head. Aroma is mostly subtle roasted malt, I don’t get much Brett at all. Medium body, lowish carbonation, sweet roasted malt with a whiff of smoke. Pleasantly soft on the palate, but the Brett doesn’t really kick in - at all. But a nice asygoing porter. 250615
