October 2017: Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting. Black colour, tan head. Aroma of roast malts, molasses and fusel, a hint of whisky. Roasty flavour, slightly sweet, again notes of molasses and fusel, also whisky. Could have been better, but still fairly impressive.

Bottle, anno 2013. Thanks Eddan. Black with a minimal tan head. Chocolate, soy, coffee, mild whisky. Still a nice one.

Bottled. Black colour, with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is tar, peat, some caramel, toffee, cocoa, dark chocolate and whisky elements. Flavour is whisky, some dark chocolate, liquorice, ripe fruits and mild toasted tones. Vanilla and wood there too. Not as nice as the Rum one, but still very nice.

(Bottle) Pitch black colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of black coffee, cacao, liquorice, roasted malt, oak wood and hints of whisky. Malty, roasted taste with strong black coffee, oak wood, salty liquorice, burnt sugar, whisky, raisins, grapefruit and a generous coffee bitterness in the finish. Full body, oily mouthfeel. A certain sweetness. Quite powerful, but really tasty. Excellent.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque, pitch black with a light brown head. Very roasty nose. Solid body, very dry and almost astringent in its roastiness. And a strange underlying hint of tartness. Whisky is definitely there as well as an oaky touch. Late, boozy finish. Somewhat raw. 231017
