Bottle at Chriso Tasting, London. Pours cloudy gold with a medium, white foam head. Kind of unexciting. Light toasted pale malts, vague fruits. Medium bodied with fine, smooth carbonation. There is nice balance here and it’s pleasant drinking, but it just doesn’t stand out.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 4 Oct 2012) Hazy golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, spicy nose with notes of earthy hops, dried fruit and apricots. Malty, spicy taste with grass, hay, dried fruit and spicy hops in the finish. Medium body, with just a touch of sweetness. Solid and well made saison. Promising start from this new brewery. Nice one. Fruity, spicy nose with notes of yeast, barnyard, grapefruit, honey, red apples and spices. Fruity, spicy taste with bread, spices, apricots, barnyard, grapefruit, apples, honey, yeast and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well made, with a rich brett character. Nice one. Same figures for both entries.
