Sampled at Billies, day 2. Dark brown to black color, no head. Malts, sweet, thick, something odd, very thick texture. Hmm not a huge fan. 7-7-6-5-6.

Tap at Billies. Black with dark brown head. Massive chocolate, whisky, roasted malts, licorice, coffee, blackberries, toffee. Super fruity and tasty. Full thick swret, medium bitter. Super thick full bodied. Incredible.

330ml can. Pours black with the thinnest of brown heads. Aroma of dark chocolate, treacle, whisky barrel. Taste is very rich, dark malts, dark chocolate, treacle, caramel, liquorice, dark fruits, roast malts, whisky, wood, quite sweet, more alcohol than the original. Thick full body, smooth. A top tier stout but I don't think barrel ageing this did it any favours, the base beer is better on all fronts for me.

Can from The Fuss Club. Nose is toffee, caramel, Ovaltine, milk chocolate, some dark fruits. Interesting flavours 🤔...dark jammy fruits, toffee, molasses, prunes. Exceedingly flavoursome. Really makes an impression. Top marks.

Can. Xmas gift from Hydes. Super slick thick pour. Super slim lasting tan head. Nose has Black Forest gateau. Oak. That’s it, but loads of it. Taste is sweet and tangy. Big dark chocolate bitterness. Slick and oily. This is never only 9.5! Black Forest gateau finish. Unreal.
