Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 2 - 01/03/14. Hazed mahogony brown with light beige spotting and edgework. Nose is berry fruit, sweet tones, sublte bourbon BA notes, oaky, dark toffee, raspberry tang. Taste comprises brown sugars, coconut shavings, big raspberry blast, sweet toffee, hint of bourbon. Medium + body with fine carbonation. Decent BA affair, probably the best beer I’ve had from this fantasy style.

At home... Deep black... Thin tan lacing... Light oxididsed roast malt nose... Blackcurrant... Big whisky... Soft berry when you know... Quite a lot in fact but the whisky overpowers

Bottle, 75cl. Bottle 349/579. It pours an unclear, brown body and a dense, beige head. The aroma has a lightly sourish touch, with roasted notes, toffee and some earthy hints. Some sourness in the flavor too, still sweet, with roasted malts and some coffee hints. Full body and a pleasant carbonation level. Roasted finish with some sourish notes and dried fruits, some raspberry all the way, but just a touch. A quite nice one. 140301
