Für Rewe wird dieses Bier als Bibamus Urbock abgefüllt, ist aber der Löwen-Bock der Löwenbrauerei Passau. Sehr klare, dunkelrote Farbe - schwarzer Rubin. Geruch sehr malzig, ganz leicht säuerlich. Geruch und Geschmack ist fast identisch. Röstige, minimal rauchige Geschmacksnoten sind außerdem erkennbar. Nahezu perfekter Kohlensäuregehalt - nicht viel, aber genug, um das Bier lebendig zu machen. Nicht zu gehaltvoll. Könnte fast als normales dunkles Bier durchgehen. Echt nicht schlecht und durchaus lecker, gibt aber sicher interessantere Starkbiere.

Bottle 0.5l at Gallow’s Bird, Espoo. BBE 18.02.15. Colour is reddish copper with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Sweetness, syrupy and malts Very bad.

Bottle: Unclear, amber coloured, smaller off-white loose head; honey, dried fruits, caramel and molasses in the nose, completed by a distinctive hayish-hoppy background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, relatively light bodied for a beer of 18.2% gravity; lingering fruity and caramelly finish with delicate hoppy traces in the aftertaste. Not exciting, but pretty pleasant…

Bottle 500ml. [ As Irlbacher Bibamus Starkbier ].Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, caramel, sweet malt, brown sugar, malt. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, sweet malt, sugary, bread. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140328]

Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. Clear amber with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dark sugar and dark fruit. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. 280314

Bottle, 6.6%. Slightly hazy dark amber with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, fruit, toasted and toffee. Flavour is malt, fruit, caramel, toasted, toffee, medium sweet, little nut, little bitter and a little dark fruit.

Bottle @ Johns. Pours amber with a creamy offhwite head. Aroma of malt, caramel, nuts, grass. Flavor is malty, caramel, brown sugar, wood, grass. Medium body, average corbonation, light boozy. 280314

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, malt, fruits, little nuts and hops. Sweet finish.

Bottle. Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Light malty and hoppy caramellic aroma. Moderate malty and light hoppy maltsweet flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate. Slightly alkoholic.
