Bottle thanks to Leighton during RBESG Sunday Tasting. It pours oily jet black with no head. The nose is bitter-sweet, coffee, rich roast, whisky, cheap below-the-counter medicine earth and cocoa. The taste is big tangy action, infected sourness, fruity, some acidity, vinegar, oily and big wood with a sour tangy finish. Medium body, low carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Tangy, sour and acidic. Possibly the worst of this rather bad bunch.

Bottle Craft clerkenwell RBESG14. Black beer no real head. Odd aroma. Some impy stout intensity. That’s not a good beer. In fact it’s horrible. Thin. Acid. Blue cheese rind.

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 2 - 01/03/14. Nice bottle - a stubby 750, the most pleasing aspect of this series of beers!!! Light black with beige bubbles that swim to the edge of the glass. Nose is light roast, earthy cocoa notes, dark fruit tang, a bit rough and ready! Taste comprises light roast, earthy tones, ash, lightly soured dark berry fruit, hint of scotch masked in a subtle BA woody lick. Medium bodied, limited carbonation, semi drying close. Mediocre just doesn’t hold any balance or deliver any depth of flavour.
