“Camden vs Italy is our collective interpretation of a German Märzen which is a dark style of lager. We stepped it up a few notches by a slight addition of black malt to deepen the colour and give a subtle tinge of roast, and then supercharged the bitterness by way of a menagerie of hops from Germany and NZ to hit 45IBU. The result of all of this is a hoppy red lager with a long, dry bitterness – perfect for a cool autumn day.” Alex Troncoso, Head Brewer.

(Bottle) Reddish amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark bread, crisp-bread, caramel and hints of spicy hops. Malty, slightly fruity taste with toast, crisp-bread, caramel, raisins, prunes and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Well balanced and tasty. Quite enjoyable.
