Cloudy amber beer, little white head. Light crisp palate. Minerals. Floral Motueka actually manages to hold it’s own with the normally muscular Nelson Sauvin. Mild elderflower and other petals are supported by the Nelson which provides a little grape and some skunk. Really good balance of the 2 hpos here, very nicely judged! Finishe is semi dry with a mildly bitter aftertaste.

Bottle at home in London shared with Lyoli. Fuzzy gold pour with a soft, white foam head. Lovely, dried citrus fruit aroma, some mild wood, toasty straw. Great flavor, light to medium sweet, some bread, toasted sugar, light grass and grapefruit pith. Medium in body with fine carbonation. Faintly dry finish, lightly sweet, some pithy citrus, some ripe citrus sugars, light bread and caramel. A very drinkable APA. A bit sweeter and meatier than other Kernel APAs, which is a nice change of pace.
