Cask at the Prince Arthur (JDW), Fleet. An opaque, peaty black pour with a thin cream head; aroma of treacle and freshly fallen autumn leafs; thin in the mouth, sugary without being sweet; and a dry licorice finish with a hint of wood smoke. A good old-fashioned mild.

The taste is bitter, roasty, earth, ashy, charred, treacle sweetness and orange peel with a dry finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. Rather nice nose. December session bipa.
