27,5 cl bottle @ Tammela vintage tasting
No BBE or bottling info
Aroma has raisins, sweet malt and toffee. Flavour has tart oud bruin tones, some caramel and toffee. Finishes sour and tart with green apples and more caramel. Red wine is strong with this one. Not sure what to think about this; not good but not bad either.

Bottle. Cotteridge Beano v2. Murky, oxidised beyond drinkable. Could just smell vinegar. Tasted little better.

Bottle at CWC II; murky dark brown pour with some floaters, zero head, winter fruit aroma, taste has sweet caramel along with some tart fruits, some spices, along with dreaded oxidisation.

Bottle Share at Ratebeer meet up, Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham Saturday 5th March 2016 cheers to Beersiveknown for this one. Pours a rather murky gloomy brown colour it is as if the beer is breaking down a little and colour is leaching out, a few tiny blobs of something float about. Quite oxidised, tart and sourness prevail, fruity. The beer has long gone leaving a few remnants of what once was. I have had a few aged beers of late, i.e. Pannepot Reserva, Westvleteren 8, Fullers Vintage 1999, I am coming to the realisation that ageing for the majority is pointless, yes 2-3 years maybe but any longer is a huge gamble. Tried at Cotteridge 2. Murky drown colour. Aroma is stewed fruit aroma, a touch christmas pudding. Taste is light sweet. nice considering age.

Bottle - Prune, raisin and brown sugar. Dirty brown. Prunes, rials and date. A little light on the palate. If this were a bit richer on the palate it would have been a gem, otherwise not bad for its age.

Vintage 2005. 275mL bottle, courtesy of fiulijn (thanks Alex), pours a cloudy dark amber brown with a tiny bubbly white head. Aroma brings out notes of sherry-like oxidation, dark fruits, and toasted nutty caramel. Flavour is similar, with loads of liqueur-like oxidation, some unfortunate cardboard notes, toasted bready and dark fruits. Very low residual sugar. The oxidation isn't actually too off-putting, instead adding a nice character to it. Quite nice for a 10-year old beer.

Bottle shared at Leighton’s place. 25/08/2015. Many thanks to Paul for this 2005 vintage. Deep amber / orange coloured pour with frothy off white head. Viscous. Aroma is tart and funky peach, cakey malts, booze, tangy pineapple. Flavour is composed of jammy fruit, tart orange marmalade, cakey malts, pinch of sour. Viscous in the mouth and slightly dusty. Palate is chewy and viscous, sweet and sour, moderate carbonation. Lingering boozy cake. Held up really well.

Bottle shared at Leighton’s. 10 year old vintage fun time. It pours cloudy red - brown with a small white head. The nose is funky, musty, spoiled peach, stewed nectarine, sherbet, earth and damp leaves. The taste is bitter, woody, light funk, stewed orange, peach, light tartness, spice, marmalade, very earthy and kumquat with a lingering dry finish. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Great depth a rather nice funky tartness. Has aged gracefully. Really rather enjoyable stuff. Tasty.
