Tap. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is fresh yeast, jam, some funk. Taste is the same, quite fresh. Medium carbonation. Nice.

Sampled @ Borefts Beer Festival 2016. Hazy orange color, medium sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste wheat, lightly malts, sweet-sour fruitpeel. Decent body and carbonation. Overall though, Meh.

At GBF. Egg-white, moussy, lacing head over a misty peach blonde beer with orangey hue. Fruity, quite intense nose of gooseberry, redcurrant, orange, vanilla, damp cellar, woody tannins, white wine, apricot. Estery onset, strong gooseberry and passion fruit flavors mixing sweet and sour, softish carbo and somewhat vinous mouthfeel, caramelly malt sweet core, while tartness increases towards the finish as in a wine barrel-aged beer, but less dry, tannins and sweet grapey Pineau adding a new flavor in the end, lingering in the throat after swallowing without any astringency. I guess you have to like Pineau de Charentes to begin with but one does not come across a Pineau-aged beer every day and this was a layered and interesting beer to sample.

Draught Small yellowish head over muddy orange-pink beer. Fruity, almonds, kumquat. Sweet-fruity, human sweat, alcoholsweetness. Very sticky, alcoholheat. Not really my taste. And I wonder what Pineau barriques were used, as I’ve had other flavours from that drink (which can be marvellous, if the cognac is really good).

Thank you for sharing! Sampled draft @ Gents Bierfestival 2016. Dark orange amber with little off-white head. Nose is weird very sweet plaster, sugar, plastic, almost vegetable,… taste is hgue sweet with big plastic, plastic, heavy Belgian yeast, murky, big alcohol,… Plaster, yeast & band-aid. Didn’t enjoy it which is unfortunate since I loved previous Cuvee d’Erpigny versions which I have tried.

19/VIII/16 - on tap @ setup Gents Bierfestival - BB: n/a (2016-863) Thanks to Jerôme for testing the taps! :p

Clear orange beer, small creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very sweet, some marzipan, alcohol, bit herbal, green banana. MF: no carbon, full body. Taste: bit sourish start, sugary, ripe fruits, some pineapple juice, alcohol, really sweet. Aftertaste: sugary, slightly acidic touch, some tannins, wood notes, ripe pears, soft bitterness. Nice one!
