Bottle at Yespr’s. It pours lightly hazy gold with a thick white head. The nose is sweet, doughy, orange peel, Irn Bru, icing sugar and parma violets. The taste is dough, grassy bitterness, icing sugar, parma violets and straw with a dry, sweetish finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Not as bad as I feared... Easy-going, but lacking in punch.

750ml bottle. Hazy pale golden colour with average, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, white head and permanently ascending fine froth bubbles. Lemon aroma with yeasty notes and a slightly herbal hoppy touch. Taste is fresh fruity with lemon notes, some crystal sugar sweetness, a touch of sherbet, cautious dry, herbal hoppy overtones; slightly light body. A surprisingly light thirst quencher with a focus on lemon notes; no banana or peach flavours as one could expect. Not bad, but not aiming in the direction I’d prefer from a Weizenbock.
