12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/3/2013. Pours very hazy deep ruby red color with a 1 finger dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big banana, raisin, plum, fig, bubblegum, clove, molasses, caramel, cocoa, toast, brown bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast ester and dark malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big banana, raisin, plum, fig, bubblegum, clove, molasses, caramel, cocoa, toast, brown bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Light wheat tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of banana, raisin, plum, fig, bubblegum, clove, molasses, cocoa, toast, brown bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity of fruity/earthy yeast and dark malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and full bodied; with a very creamy, moderately slick, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is fairly well hidden with a small warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice weizenbock style. Good balance, complexity, and robustness of fruity/earthy yeast and dark malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle, compliments of BMart, poured into a weizen glass. Pours dark brown with light brown highlight at the bottom of the glass and small off-white head which dissipated quickly. Thick body, medium/lower carbonation, syrupy texture, and very little lacing. Aroma is nice rich ripe bananas. Taste is sweet, roasted malt, bread, dark fruit, some banana, some spice, and alcohol. Based on the aroma I expected a much better taste, but too much alcohol.

12 oz. bottle from Julio’s. Dark mahogany color with very little head. Great aromas of pumpernickel bread, clove and banana esters. The flavor is like a hybrid between a Belgian Dubbel and a weizenbock. Lots of dark fruit upfront raisins and figs, follow by thick bready pumpernickel notes. The finish has caramel and over ripe banana. Texture is a tad syrupy. For 11% the alcohol is lightly noticeable. Has a nice warming sensation down the throat and belly. Nice.

Bottle. Pours a ruby brown with a medium head and a lot of sediment at the bottom of the bottle that clouds things up a bit. Aromas are heavy with prunes and cloves but flavor picks up some bubble gum and banana flavors. It is sticky and thick and coats the palate with a brown sugar syrupiness. ABV is extremely well hidden beneath all the sweet and fruity notes.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Yoav. Deep amber color. Aroma of fruity esters, malt, caramel, some clove, a hint of bubblegum and some alcohol. Sweet flavor with malt, fruits, bubblegum notes and a spicy finish with quite a bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied, alcoholic amd a bit sticky. Too boozy and heavy.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 12/31/13
Aroma: The aroma is fairly sweet, with chocolate, raisin/dark fruit, wheat, booze, and spice
Appearance: It pours a brown color with a reddish hue and not much head or lace
Flavor: The taste is medium-plus sweet, wheat, dark fruit, chocolate, and spice
Palate: The body is medium-full, its a little sticky, but not too cloying, and a mildly hot finish
Overall Impression: Happy New Years Eve. I'm guessing this one will be the last rating I enter this year. Anyway, as for the beer, this is pretty tasty, but very sweet. It's an interesting one, but I couldn't drink too much of this, because of the sweetness and the ABV.

Pours cola brown into a stem glass. Mocha head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Banana and bubblegum aromas. Soft with sweet bubblegum and chocolate front to back. Lasting hot pit fruit finish.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a translucent brown color topped by a smallish bubbly beige head. Aroma is sweet roasted malt with notes of brown sugar and baked apples. Tangy sweet roasted malt flavor. Big chewy mouthfeel. Noticeable clovey wheat malt character. Lot’s of residual sweetness hinders this one. A bit rough around the edges. I think this could be better with a little more hops in the finish. At 11+% alcohol, this is big and bold. Overall, pretty tasty, yet unrefined.
