0.33 l bottle from 'CraftBeer-Dealer.com', best before December 2027. Almost clear, deep ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, light beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity aroma of molasses, raisins, prunes, some vanilla and a touch of oxidation. Rather sweet, malty, gently fruity taste of molasses, raisins, prunes, strawberry jam and some vanilla, followed by a long, moderately bitter, rather boozy finish. Full body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Heavy and rich Barley Wine, very saturating but unfortunately a bit too boozy as well.

Bottle [from Euro Swap 2018-3 thanks to Rauchbierlover] shared with Marte. Dark red amber color, average sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, sweetish malts, toffee. Fairly typical barley wine but definitely a very solid one. Very pleasant. 8-4-8-4-17.

Thanks to whoever brought this. Misty amber-red body with an off white head. Banana, oak, full maltiness, smells just lovely. Taste... banana, oak, full maltiness, caramel, yoghurt, clean. Maybe a bit on the lighter side for the style, but let's not hold that against it. An excellent beer by all measures!

Out of the bottle @ Craft Mainz 2017. Intense sticky beginning. Fruity parts with hints of ripe yellow fruits. Wood, deep dry caramel, sticky molasses, very dry but easy to drink. Long fruity deep caramel malty dry aftertafste with hints of grainy sweetness.

0,33 l bottle directly from the brewery. Declared as Barley Wine on the label. Very dark reddish in the glass, no real head. Sweet chewing gum on the nose. Taste starts with a mix of chewing gum and barrel wood, fruity and some whiskey. Smooth but alcoholic. No real bitterness, more on the low sweet side. Increasing whiskey to the end. Complex one. Strong stuff.
