Bottle, courtesy of hauxe, thanks a lot! Pours deep copper wit beige head. Nose is booze, dried fruits, mainly raisins, bready malts. Taste follows the aroma and shows similar notes, it’s big on booze and malts, there’s a fruity estery touch too. Closes with a long lasting sweet finish, has light to medium body and soft carbonation.

brown to mahogany colour, minimal beige-ish head; aroma of prune, dried sour cherry, raisin, burnt sugar, soy sauce and slightanise notes;taste is similar to the aroma with spicy alcoholic aftertaste; not bad, though somehow misses the body for this ABV

Bottle from an online shop, drunk after some nice Vietnamese take out. Hazy reddish brown, no head, big nose of vanilla, oak, sherry, brown sugar. Flavor is massive and very smooth for the ABV, I'd have guessed much less. Raisins, hint of soy/umami, well balanced... Wow this is a great barleywine. Excellent brewery, with almost every beer I've tried so far being a hit.

Bottle picked up from Brauhaus Faust webshop, Miltenberg and consumed at home Easter Monday 5th April 2021 watching Ballon on Netflix. We had Greek Village Sausage (starter) and Pastitsio. Pours mid/dark reddy brown, pretty good clarity, though on reflection there is a little haze, a light beige head atop. Sherry soaked dried fruit on the nose, raisins, dates, orange peel, malty also. A little bit boozy but doesn't detract in any way, molasses, the aforementioned dried fruits are back and in the mouth this time, warming, big maltiness. This is a good, well executed Barley Wine.

Dark brown with a tall, foamy head that proves fleeting. Aroma of toffee, prunes, raisins. Taste is sweet with some mild tartness. Full-bodied, mild carbonation, a touch oily. Strong stuff with a warm finish and a boozy feel that never lets up. A pleasant sipper though.
