Cask @ Flying Horse, Rochdale. Darker amber in colour with a creamy head. Malty aroma with a crisp malt-hop flavour and a small bitterness.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 14/2/2014. Amber with a slight, off-white head. Workaday bitter with cereal malts, hay, a hint of hedgerow fruit and moderately bitter finish. Forgettable.

Cask at the Nags Head, Abingdon. Chestnut-amber with a small off-white head. Malt and choclate and straw and toffee. Decent balancing bitterness. Great condition. For a boring brown bitter this is pretty decent. Although having run into the pub to escape hail and gales, it’s possible that anything would have tasted good!
