21st November 2013
Hazy amber beer with a tidy off white head. Palate is smooth and a little soft. Light fine carbonation. Light sweet malt and sweet marmalade hops. Lactose. Light finish. Much like the Pale Ale this is quite drinkable but a bit sweet for the style.

500ml bottle. Cloudy orangey dark golden to copper colour colour with huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Fruity, citrusy hop aroma has an intense grapefruit note, some blood orange, tangerine. Taste is bitter and fruity hoppy, minimally tart, some blood orange, cautious caramel malty basis with hints of bitter almond; light, slightly watery.

Half pint poured from cask at Elm Park Tavern in Brixton. Clear, dark amber coloured body. Sparse fawn-coloured head. Malt-fruity nose with a touch of anise. Joint taste of dark grapefruit and caramel malts, again with hints of anise. Rather Jam-like. Resin-like bitter endnotes. Fine bodied. Pretty nice brew (London 12.08.2013).

Bottle from ?Jacks?, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon. Consumed at home Monday 26th August 2013 Pours hazy orangey/gold, nice white head atop. Feels soft in mouth but the tongue is carressed by a fruity hoppiness which is sweet, pleasantly bitter with some squidgy sweet lemon. Really nice beer and a surprise for me as for some reason I opened it up and never expected it to be so good. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Bottle at home in London - picked up at Oddbins London Bridge. Pours lightly hazy, amber-gold with a fine, creamy off-white head. Nose holds some dried citrus and lightly toasted bread and grass. Light to medium sweet flavor with further citrus, grapefruit, mellow citric tang, grass. Medium bodied with fine, tingly carbonation. Very lightly ouly and resinous to finish, some faintly astringent grassy hops, hints of plastic, tangerine, grapefruit. Decent but would benefit from a few tweaks.
