[Cask at Back of Beyond, Reading] Chestnut brown with a thick beige head. Malty and fruity (apples); quite a syrupy mouthfeel. Finish is dusty, possibly almost grainy, with a slight hint (not much!) of dry bitterness. Overall it taste fine, but it’s a bit boring.. c8

Cask handpull at Crosse Keys, JDW, London. Deep chestnut colour, lasting dark beige head. I can see what Maeib says about the odd flavour. It’s not unpleasant, but there is some herb/spice in here which is not usual in your ESB/bitter beer. Malts are very evident and are quite decent if a little syrupy. Some peppery hop on finish. Odd though. Not unpleasant and in good condition

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Reddish brown with a thin cream head; apple and autumn fruit aroma; some red fruit flavours, but predominantly sweet with an oily feel; long sweet toffee finish, and no sign of any winter warming. Disappointing.
