Cask at the Broad Street Tavern, Wokingham. Amber with a thin white head; elegant floral aroma; delicate elderflower flavour with lightly browned toast; intense fragrant and bitter hop finish. An excellent, refined, ale.

Cask-conditioned at the Rising Sun, Frampton Cotterell, S Gloucestershire. Amber in colour with a decent off-white head. Wadworth’s yeast aroma with some pear drops and sweetness. Flavour was fruity, with some chewy malts, grassy hops and a decent bitter finish. Good.

[Cask at Wadworth’s Brewery Bar] Pours a slightly hazy amber-tan with a large, foamy off-white head. No carbonation. Tastes of the Waddy’s classic farmyard/ straw flavour taken to a whole new level - this packs a flavoursome punch to befit their champion powerlifter. Lots of malt too, and a smooth, slightly bitter finish. This is a great, heady brew that was nice enough for me to have a second. Shame it’s only a one off as it puts most of their other brews to shame.
