The Summer of Love was fun they say, but now we’re living in the SUMMER OF LAGER! "Lager" means "to wait a wicked long time until it’s ready." We brewed it in the fall, aged it all winter, then sampled it in the spring. Then again, and again, until finally we decided to share. Hope you like it.

Almost clear gold beer with a small white head. Minerally crisp palate. Thin malt and horrible soapy floralness. Dry finish. God awful rubbish.

¾ pint bottle bought from the foreign bottle bar (BSF) at the Great British Beer festival in August this year. Dense, frothy white head with a lasting layer. Spotty lacing. Grassy hops on the nose. Modest flavours of oily hops, lemon and earthy malts. Subdued, dry fruit bitter tail. Refreshing (at home, Tromsø 26.10.2013).

Bottle bought at GBBF and drunk at home. Clear gold lasting white head. It’s a half decent lemony citrusy lager. Good aroma, good mouthfeel, good lemon. Very drinkable. Good beer.

12oz bottle. Hazy orange-tan. Foamy, steady, glass lacing head. Bready, medium body. Spicy noble hop finish. A little more of an American feel than a German..bigger malts, bigger hop bills, and a less sublime lagering tones. Earthy, fruity character brings to mind English Ale as much as German Lager...maybe my palate is off. Either way, a nice enough session beer.

The Bodega, Brooklyn tap: Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is bread and a nice amount of hops. Taste is slightly bitter, mostly bready. Body is nice and crisp. An easy drinking beer crafted quite well.

Enjoyed on tap while waiting for my delayed flight at the Cisco Brew Pub location at Logan Airport in Boston, MA. I didn’t take notes while having this, but I remember this was an exceptionally good lager with a nice dry finish and light hay notes. Hope to have this again.

Crisp golden coloured body with a thinnish, one centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of honey, hay, grass, light cardboard and a bit of barnyard funk - like a biere de garde. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and very earthy hops up front that fade immediately to a dry malty note with a twinge of of pine and light cascade hops. Aftertaste is very mild with only some alcohol, malt and a hint of sugars at the end - nice and smooth. Overall, a nice set of flavours with a lower profile and some good characteristics for a late summer/winter beer. I sampled this twelve ounce CAN purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 22-July-2012 for US$1.65 sampled at home in Washington on 20-September-2012.
