500 ml can. Pours a golden color with a medium white head. A huge perfume citrus nose. Basically the same flavor: huge spicy almost cinnamon perfume, almonds, citrus. Really quite tough to drink for me. Tastes artificial.

Can, from 7/11 in Narita. Gold-amber colour, smells like a yuzu shandy. I guess that’s what it is. Has some hop bitterness, yuzu and rind qualities, is actually fairly balanced though the base beer seems really nothing special. The overall effect is to tease me with a refreshing yuzu taste, only for that to clash a bit with a firm, dryish pale lager.

Can at the hotel in Tokyo. Sourced from the local 7-Eleven. Pours clear yellow-gold with a frothy, pure white head. Certainly some citrus aspect in the aroma, zezty lime, pale bread. Light-medium sweet flavour with light bready pale malts, low bitterness, further lemon and lime accents. Light bodiednwith average carbonation. Reasonably clean on the finish, with some further biscuity notes, pale bread, lime zest, ripening lemon. Pretty enjoyable. Not a ’full on’ fruit beer, which I think is a positive.
