Handpull cask at the King's Head, Leicester. Light gold and mostly clear with a small and slightly scummy off-white head. Light lemony aroma, slightly astringent, little bit soapy. Taste is bitter but not intensely so, lots more sharp citrus, long bitter finish. Pretty basic stuff but absolutely drinkable.

Straw colour. Aroma has light spiciness, the palate is also quite gentle, with light spice but more with sweet pale malt.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Almost clear gold beer (not very copper then!). Little white head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Fine carbonation. Light malt, hops are vaguely citric with a touch of ripe orange. An odd dusty dry note is unwelcome. Semi dry finish. Mellow bitter linger.
