Crisp and fruity, golden and scintillating. This ale thinks it’s a lager, and with Galena, Crystal and Liberty hops from the US, it delights and confounds in equal amounts.

Hazy gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is smooth and a little dry. Very sweet lactose malt. Light citrus buried underneath all the sugary milk powder. Minerally crisp finish. Way too much sweet milk. Bordering on disgusting.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a fine, frothy white head. Nose of grains and hay, some white bread. Light sweet flavor, further hay, some tangy lemon and tangerine, doughy white bread. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Some bitter and lightly astringent hay in the finish, further doughy pale malts, tangy lemon. OK.
