A Belgian-style blonde ale with complex citrus flavour thanks to the five different types of hop used. Mandarin and floral notes and a balanced bitterness leaves you wanting more. The name of this blonde ale is a tribute to the world famous Beemster polder. Before the excess polder water is drained from the Beemster, it’s stored in the Boezem. The Boezem keeps the Beemster dry, lets toast to that!

330 ml bottle, purchased as part of a 3-beers giftpack at a food / deli store at Schiphol Airport. ABV is 5%. Slightly hazy golden colour, small white head. Distinct aroma of Belgian ale yeast, hints of white kandij sugar syrup, mild spices and honeymelon. The flavour is fairly smooth, some yeasty notes but not too much, otherwise with the same elements as the aroma.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 29 Feb 2020) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with grain, white bread, citrus and flowers. Malty, fruity taste with notes of citrus, grainy malt, flowers and a mild herbal bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Hazy deep golden colour, fair frothy white head, good retention, light lacing. Aroma sweet malt, dough, hay, light caramel, bit lemon. Flat taste, medium sweet and light bitter, malty, chalky, mineral notes. Dry sweetbitter aftertaste, spicy notes, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, flat uninspiring beer, almost decent.

Thuis uit een flesje. Licht troebel gouden kleur, wit schuim.

On tap at NHBF'18. Golden orange colour, white head. Aroma of candy (hello Jopen!), malt, light citrus, coriander seed. Flavour follows, not much to it. I liked the Hoppen Blond better.
