Can from a little store nr Euston station a few months ago, consumed at home 18.07.13 Pours warm gold with white head. Sweet and very easy drinking, in fact this is a far better beer than I was expected. If I was on this at the end of the night in some random bar in Belgium I really would be quite happy and probably fooled into thinking I was on some industrial strong Belgian ale, of course noticing such things as the spicy yeasty characteristics would have long since vanished. Its strong, it’s sweet, a bit syrupy but not unlikeable. Soft in mouth, metallic tinnyness is moderate, heavy maltiness, not bad, not bad at all, oh my I’m becoming a tramp....This one never made it in my Truck Festival canquest. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

500ml can at 9% ABV. Beer of choice for the park bench brigade, with the emphasis on alcohol rather than flavour. But actually it’s not to bad - an attractive golden amber colour, white head; light malty taste; some damp cardboard, then warming alcohol with a slightly rough finish.

Tallboy from a shop in Earl’s Court. Pours orange/gold with transient bubbles. Aroma is malty? Med + body. Flavor is not too bad - no fusil oils. So it is drinkable without nausea. However, it’s really just alcohol. There’s no significant malt flavor, and same for hop. Wonder what Winston thought of it.

Uninspired lager bought for its strong quick effects more than its taste. Has all the character of Carlsberg, golden carbonated and no head with a similar aroma, but a clearly stronger brew.

Can. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are sweet malt, grass, alcohol and hops. A little earthy and hides alcohol poorly.
