Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of smoke, peated whisky, chocolate, licorice, booze and molasses. Taste has chocolate, licorice, booze, peated whisky, smoke, molasses and a boozy finish. Bit rough and heavy on the bowmore. It's not very well made, but I like bowmore, so it's still enjoyable.

Bottle @ home. Black with a small light brown head. Smells sweet, some peat, roasty. Tastes roasty, quite sweet, some peat, some iron, some whisky. Not too bad. I wouldn't have guessed it's 13% abv. Medium to full body, nice carbo, slightly warming.

Bottle at home. Black with tan head. Big sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, very plain molasses based impy with a shot of bowmore. Boozy, sweet, sugary, salmiak, whisky, peaty, something moldy like truffles. Big sweet and moderate bitter. Full body and soft carbonation. I miss some complexity, but on the other hand could be worse.

Tap at NBPF. Clear very dark brown with short lasting head. Peat on the nose. Dark chocolate, alcohol, light iodine, soft coffee, roast, toffee, more peat smoke, light meaty and herbal. Over medium sweet, medium bitter. Full bodied with almost no carbonation.

Medium to huge yellow-tan head over pitch-black beer. Sweetish chocolate nose with a pinch of peat/smoked. Dry wood, lightly charred; toffee, green leaves, mocha, roasted paprika. Sweet taste but with immediate punch from peated malts, laced with alcohol. Again lots of chocolate, bit of mocha, chocolate toffees; finish quite sweet partially due to the alcohol. Well-bodied despite alcoholthinning; alcoholheat; smooth, viscous. Long lasting warm flavours. Good balance to the detriment of fireworks. IMO, Kees B used to go further. 7/4/8/4/15

Sample from bottle at Wijnhuis Ede bierproeverij april 13, 2018. Color: Black. Taste: Dark roasted malt, black coffee, the moderate sweet RIS is nicely balanced with clear notes of the Bowmore whiskey. Bit peaty and boozy. Nice one.
