At MBCT one of my favorite discoveries was Alvarado Street Brewing. Alvarado Street x Altamont Fine Bines West Coast Double IPA 8.5% Crystal clear gold with fizzy off-white foam. Originally I got a rich slightly old skool ipa aroma. It’s gone resinous pine and rich malts with citrus and a bit of boozy heat. Medium to full bodied with a slightly raspy finish. A bit of boozy heat with stone fruit apricot sweetness up front before earthy pine and sweet maltiness comes crashing to the forefront. A bit long in the tooth (BB 03/2022) but still solid.

Can. Pours crystal clear golden, large white head, good lacing. Aroma is dank, perfume, floral, lemongrass. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter, pungent. Light body. 5,8,7,4,15
