Poured from a 16 oz can dated October 22, 2020. Aroma is rather vanilla and lactose forward with lighter notes of coffee and cacao. Lighter chocolate malt and roast notes with hints of alcohol. Pours jet black with a small, thin, mocha head that slowly turns into a small, thick, creamy, mocha head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Moderately high lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with medium light chocolate malt and roast notes. Hints of caramel and toffee. Moderately strong bitterness and light alcohol notes. Loads of vanilla and lactose with quite a bit of coffee, especially in the finish, and lighter cacao noted. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with low carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid milk stout. Loads of lactose and vanilla. Coffee is lighter than expected, but takes an outsized role in the finish. Cacao is hiding in the background.
