Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is moderately fruity with raspberry and gooseberry notes. Light alcohol spice and hints of vermouth and oak. Medium light malt notes of caramel, toffee, chocolate and lighter toasted bread and nuts. Pours brown with reddish auburn hues and a medium small, thick tan head that recedes quickly to the edges where it lingers. Faint lacing and fairly long legs. Flavor is fairly acidic with a bit of sharpness. Light sweetness with caramel, toffee, toasted bread and nuts. Hints of chocolate. Light bitterness. Light alcohol spice with a bit of vermouth and faint oak notes. Medium light raspberry and lighter gooseberry notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low, but present astringency and low, but present alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty decent beer. Nice fruit notes but the acidity is a bit sharp. Pretty good malt profile as well and the alcohol is pretty well hidden.
