What happens if you brew a beer that’s right between an American IPA and Hells Lager? Indian Summer Lager, that’s what.
Indian Summer Lager is a 6.4% ABV unfiltered pale lager hopped with Columbus, Cascade, Chinook, Citra and Simcoe. We want the big, bold hops of an American IPA combined with the wonderful clean simplicity of a great lager. It’s had over a month in tank (mostly cold conditioning to give that clean depth), it’s been dry-hopped, it’s unfiltered and it’s tasting incredible.
It’s hazy blonde with a full, creamy foam. The aroma is all about the wonderful fresh fruitiness of American hops with loads of citrus and tropical fruit. It’s clean, vibrant, loaded with hop flavour and finishes with a bold, lingering bitterness.

19th August 2013Euston Tap. Keg. Light haze on this pale gold beer. Little white head. Light and cine carbonation. Mild pale malt sweetness leads to mild lemon and orange citrus hops. The citrus morphs smoothly in to slightly sweet tropical fruits. Finishes smooth. Liked this, just wanted a tad more hop punch.

Keg at the Euston Tap - London. Nose has some lemony citrus, a bit of straw, bready pale malts. Light to medium sweet flavor with fairly bright and citrusy hops, mild lemon peel, pale bread, hay, light tangerine. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Pretty well balanced to finish, more hay, basic and semi-dry pale malts, mild piss, lemon. Really drinkable beer. (August 2013)
