A beautifully balanced chestnut coloured beer, rich and malty with slight burnt notes, full bodied with delicate bitterness balancing the biscuit flavour from crystal malted barley. Smooth on the finish.

Pigs Ear Day 4. Cask. Clear deep amber beer, a few pale tan bubbles. Palate is light and dry. Modest fine carbonation. Lightly tangy dark malts. Trace of paint. Dry finish. A bit off and too dry.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2015 - London. Pours clear copper with a foamy, white head. Bland aroma, just some faint leathery berries. Light sweet flavour, a little buttery, with nips of bread, leaves and toffee. Light bodied with soft; very poor condition. Bland finish, just slight fruity notes, leaves. Very, very bland, and in very shabby condition.

Cask at Pigs Ear, 2015. Reddish-brown pour with a white head. Not much of an aroma, maybe a bit of raisin in there. Splash of dark fruit, raisin, wholemeal bread. Flat as a pancake. Dull.

Gravity dispense at Pigs Ear ’15, 04/12/15. Chestnut brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is a touch thin, papery elements, brown bread, light fruit rinds. Taste comprises faint tobacco, spice, earthy, toffee, hint of fruit. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. So so mild, on the thin side.
