Tap at Edo-bori Beer Belly. Cloudy amber colour with creamy white head made of tiny bubbles. Aroma is creamy and yeasty, and hoppy too (bit citrus). Taste is yeasty, bread dough and nice subtle orange undertone. Slightly bitter finish. Smooth in the mouth but just tickles the palate. Beautiful balance. This is ultra-drinkable. Couldn't believe how nice it was. Ultimate refreshment!

Bottle at a random bar in Osaka. From the bottle so don’t know what it looked like. Aroma of citrus, green weeds and fruity hops. Flavour is light moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Small white head. Clear amber body with light carbonation. Watery tropical fruit aroma with caramelly notes. Dryish spicy tropical fruit taste with caramelly notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish spicy wooden caramelly aftertaste with fruity notes. Nice, clean, drinkable, a little too light, perhaps. (0.35l bottle, nameless bar, Kanazawa.)

Present from my friend Luis after a trip he made to Japan: thanks! 33 cl bottle served in red wine glass. Pours hazy bright amber. Off-white head is abundant, thick and good-lacing. Aroma is very intense: spruce, pine, cypress, resin, along with bitter citrus such as grapefruit, pomelo and kumquat. A nice hint of black tea is also present. Taste is dry, bold and refreshingly crisp. Finish is very -very bitter and long-lasting. Very nice indeed.

Bottle, gift from the visiting Dane’s, cheers! Pours a hazy pale orange / golden colour with a small bubbly off white head. Subtle aroma of hop, tropical fruit, apricot. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Light to medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. An easy drinker.

Bright, amber, has a mellow melony hop with a hit of grapefruit. Has a mellow character. Hops and similar and the light caramel malts provide good balance. Good 90s style pale.

On tap at Beer Belly. pours out a hazy amber topped with a small head. nose is earthy floral hops some bread grain. Taste is more of the floral hops some light grassy notes and a bread malt.
