Fra flaske på M2, Cardinal sep-14: uklar gylden med storboblet hvitt skum, og en god aroma av fersken og chutney. En behagelig og diskret tone av ingefær sniker seg også inn i smaken. Avrundet, men noe anonym. Verdt et nytt forsøk neste gang jeg er i Dronningens by.

From bottle at Mi2 29.09.14. Cloudy golden. Aroma of ginger, chutney and Indian restaurant. Quite a lot of ginger in taste. More hops in aftertaste. Quite refreshing, with thinish mouthfeel.

500 ml bottle, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.0%. Pale ale with ginger. Slightly hazy deep golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma, a little fruity hops (Galaxy), some ginger. The flavour is moderately malty, a little fruity hops. and distinct notes of ginger from start to finish. Not a real ginger "burn", though. Moderate "dusty" hops in the dry finish. Fairly nice to drink, and probably good with food.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of citrus, flowers, hops, and ginger. Intense bitter, hoppy flavour, with sweetish fruity notes and spicy touches of ginger. Bitter aftertaste. The ginger notes are quite disturbing, actually, making the beer more interesting than good.

Flaske 0,5l. Spandert av Rune under hyggelig treff i WCveien 11 Jan 14. Gylden. Høyt luftig skum som varer. Litt lacing. Svak ingefæraroma. Smaken er tørr ingefær. Passet fint til Indisk gryte.

0.5l bottle. This is a clear dark golden one with a medium sized almost fluffy off-white head that's leaving nice lacing down the sides of the glass. It smells of ginger and white sugar infused. A bit of fart and lots of butter also found in the aroma. Not my kind of aroma to be honest. Not that it don't enjoy ginger beers or ginger in beers, but this is a bit bah... It has a really light watery mouthfeel and a soft to average carbonation level. If I didn't know that this was a 5 percent abv beer i would have guess estimated it to be a alcofree pale added ginger, pumpkin, elderflower juices, galangal, herbal tea and pepper. It's actually not bad tasting, just utterly strange and I'm finding it hard to really enjoy the flavors combined. It kills the thirst, but I guess that's about it. 11.10.2013

Bottle. A dense, two-finger head, off-white in color, forms over an unclear, golden body. It’s fruity and citrusy on the nose, with some ginger. Pale malts and some licorice hints. Bready hints. The flavor is bready and malty, with some anise notes and a faint ginger-ish hints. Almost butterscotchy. Medium to full body, semi-dry, with a pleasant carbonation level. Definitely not my kind of beer this one. 131228
