Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013, 10/08/13. Dark orange/amber with a moderately sized light beige head. Nose is tangy fruits, light ginger, citrus, spice, herbal notes. Taste comprises tarte orange, herbs, ginger, spices, light hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish. Ok for the style I guess - nothing I’d be looking to revisit mind!

Hazy amber beer, little pale tan head. Nose of pepper and cardamon! Smooth palate with mild mild carbonation. Taste folllows the nose to a degree. The spices are somewhat subsumed by sweetish malt and a nice fruity - jammy tone. Touch of minty coolness. Semi dry finish. I was quite sure I wasn’t going to like this but the fruity tone ties everything together.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, hops and, first of all, a portent mixture of herbs. Bitter, herbal taste with notes of malt and hops. Very low carbonation. Rough aftertaste. interesting, but perhaps more as a medicament.

Bottle, 8.0%. Good spicy aroma, liquorice, salt, cardamom. Cloudy red amber colour. Small frothy off-white head. The flavour starts off sweet, then comes some liqourice, raw liquorice, a sour note, herbal notes, a bit medicinal. Rather interesting, but not necessarily good.
