Sampled from the tap at Station 2. Pours brown with an amber hue and a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a really musty bread and grain note with a slight nuttiness supporting. Flavor has the same musty bread and grain note with hints of nuts and roast supporting.

Draft at the brewery. Dark brown pour with an off white head and decent retention. Very good lacing. Great brown. Clean and smooth with a great nutty flavor. Semi-creamy mouthfeel.

On tap in a flight at the brewpub. Muddy brown appearance, with a small, bubbly, beige head. The aroma is mild coffee, chocolate pudding, burnt toast, charcoal, and resin. Sweet and overly roasty, with a mild bitterness. Medium body, sticky, harsh, and hard. This is very aggressive beer, but not in a good way. Harsh and hard on the palate, and yet somehow still thin and weak.
