Pound for pound, this is a great beer. Good clean pale malt backbone, sun-kissed pale grain, pleasant piney accents, a little oily resin, citrusy fruit notes. Good condition. Great balance. A nice breadiness to the malts. Would drink this all day.

[33cl can from a mixed 4-pack from my local Co-op] A hazy straw coloured pour with a thin white head; musty malt aroma with a touch of citrus; taste to match, with the malt seeming quite stale; then a biscuity finish with an unpleasant metallic bitterness. Poor.

Mixed 4-pack from Co-Op, New Haw. Clear amber gold. Foamy translucent white head soon begins to shrink. Aroma has resin, a citrus streak and underlying boiled veg and malts. Medium-heavy bitter. Resin. Tart grapefruit. Underlying malts but as per the aroma there is also a boiled veg element that is a game ruiner. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. A basic West Coast IPA. Not the finished article.

Can as part of a mix pack from coop. It pours slightly hazy bright golden with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, zingy, zippy, ripe grapefruit, candied lemon, pithy pomelo, bitter - sweet character with some soft doughy white bread. The taste is crisp, dry, clean, snappy, pleasing hit of bitterness, pine needles, pithy, zesty, grapefruit, pomelo, citron, lemon peel, biscuit a d doughy white bread with a bitter - dry finish. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. The easy winner of this mix pack so far. Bright, zingy and zesty.
