Silky smooth with the colour of freshly poured espresso. Sweet caramel and velvety lactose balance and tame the coffee infused within this indulgent brew. No need to put the kettle on as this stout will wake you right up.

Unfined, unfiltered, unpasteurised natural beer. Due to lactose, this is not suitable for vegans.

330ml can. Very dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma: very sweet chocolate, coffee, vanilla, caramel. Taste: very sweet and chocolatey, vanilla, coffee, roast malts, lactose, caramel, the coffee which gives it a light bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied, very smooth milky mouthfeel, soft carbonation. This really is a very sweet stout, donโ€™t think I could drink more than one but it was very nice.

33cl bottle from Beer52.com. A peaty brown pour with a tight beige head; enticing caramel latte aroma; sweet, rather thin, milky chocolate taste with a little malt; dissolving into a creamy mocha finish thatโ€™s far too sweet for my taste. Rather too much going on here.

Bottle from Beer Gonzo, Coventry. Day 16 of my beer advent calendar. Deep ruby to black colour with a tan head. Aroma has lots of caramel, and coffee not so much roasted malt. Taste creamy sweet. Medium body.

Craft 100. Clapham. Cask. Almost clear amber beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, minerally crisp back end. Decent condition. Sweetish malts, fair dollop of chocolate but it tastes a little artificial. Light malt cream and mellow tangy fruits. Smooth finish. Not bad.
